A unit of Rajput Cultural Adventures, Sambhali India provides an outlet for the participants and graduates of Sambhali Trust to sell the clothes and handicraft items they produce and help in finding markets, locally and internationally.
In August 2009, 11 girls from Sambhali Trust graduated after being students for over two years in the Empowerment Project for women and girls. During that time the girls have learnt a variety of sewing skills, including tailoring, block-printing and embroidery. Sambhali Trust has now established two sewing centres in Jodhpur in the areas where these girls live, so that they can start to earn a living for themselves by producing clothes for people in their local community and garments and accessories that can be sold through the Sambhali India shop.

A variety of garments are now being produced, which include kurtas, (Indian tops), salwaars (baggy Indian trousers), women’s blouses, hand-block printed scarves and curtains, Rajasthani tablecloths, make-up purses, wash-bags, decorative elephants, cushion-covers and jewellery.
At present, Sambhali India has a small shop attached to Durag Niwas guesthouse and is looking for a site in the centre of Jodhpur. Both the shop and the two sewing centres are being managed by Corinne Rose, a textile designer from the UK, who has been affiliated with the Trust since December 2008. Below are some of the items that the girls are producing.
